Safeway is a full-service large supermarket that features a bakery, a deli, pharmacy, meat department, and offers a lot of ToGo picnic items.
The Country Market of Estes Park is much smaller than Safeway, but is very close to the YMCA and offers amazing and ample made-to-order sandwiches and salads for picnickers, a full coffee bar, ice cream by the scoop, and a limited but helpful offering of groceries and personal care products.

Can I go whitewater rafting in Estes Park or Rocky Mountain National Park?
There is no rafting available in the national park and none in Estes Park itself, but there are good rafting trips available in Fort Collins, which is about a 90 minute drive from Estes Park.
While no motorized boats are allowed in the national park, you can launch canoes or kayaks on any lake within the park.

Boat rentals are also available in the Grand Lake area on the west side of the park. The Grand Lake Marina rents pontoon boats, fishing boats, kayaks, and canoes for use on Grand Lake. The Trail Ridge Marina rents boats for use on Shadow Mountain Reservoir. The Indian Peaks Marina rents boats for use on Lake Granby.

Can I go fishing in Rocky Mountain National Park?
You bet. While children under the age of 16 do not need a license, all anglers aged 16+ must have a Colorado fishing license; no other permit is necessary. - The YMCA of the Rockies has a laundry facility on the ground floor of the Long Lodge (building 15 on page 2 of the Y map). The laundry is open 24×7.
- The Estes Park Laundracenter is the closest public laundry to the YMCA and it’s open 6am-midnight, 7 days a week. They do not have a web site, but the address is 900 Moraine Avenue.
- The Village Laundry in Estes Park is open Fri-Tues, 8am-7pm. There is no website, but you can call to verify their open status: 970-577-9274.
